Merry Christmas?

Today I did a good deed. Today I stood outside of Walgreen's for a while and rang a bell for the Salvation Army. It was really good, actually. I was impressed, because I would say that a majority of people that passed by put at least something into the little container thing. When they did, I would say thanks and "Merry Christmas!".

I felt kind of like a hypocrite. It doesn't feel like Christmas yet. We haven't even had Thanksgiving, much less are we celebrating Christmas. On top of that, it's sunny outside. Christmas has definitely not arrived yet, but I was still saying Merry Christmas to everyone that I met. Wow.

One lady went in (without putting anything in the can) and she was wearing a Denver Broncos sweatshirt. It is important for you to know that I am an avid San Diego Chargers fan, and the Chargers and Broncos are currently tied for first place, and finally that they are playing each other this Sunday in Denver. On her way out I said "Merry Christmas....go Chargers!!" in my cheeriest bell ringer voice. She did not shoot me a happy look. She's scared.

I don't have all that much homework left to take care of before I leave for Thanksgiving. The real issue is finding the motivation to actually get it done. I have to read the first six chapters of a pretty boring book in my economics class, which hasn't gotten even close to being finished yet.

I also have a slew of online quizzes to take, but I haven't done them either. In fact, I think I am going to journey out to the mall to purchase something for my girlfriend. Braving Saturday afternoon traffic by the mall...this is very unusual for me.
